Update Time !!

Yes I am a very bad blogger ! I always knew that I wouldn't update daily ... but I did think I would manage weekly at least ! Never mind - I'll just have to find lots of stuff to bore enthrall you all with.

First up - another swap  ... noooo I hear you say, another swap? now that's a rare occurence  from Karen :P (I hate that there are no smilies on here) :(

I will add links (once I know how to) but the first swap I am going to show you is the one I am currently hosting over on UK Scrappers.  I got my copy of Craft Stamper last month and on the cover was a very pretty screen ... hmmm I thought (I always have swap ideas running around my head) that looks 'swap-able' :D  The screen was made by another member of UKS ... Linda E and she has other fabby stuff on her blog (which will be inserted here when I can do it !) Anyway - I organised the swap, blackmailed enticed lots of people to join and then allocated each person a swap partner.  Everyone chooses a theme and whoever is chosen as your partner, makes a screen to your theme.  The person I had as my partner chose the Austrian artist Hundertwasser *who??* well, I had to google, and the more I googled, the more interested I became ... I suggest you google and go to Wikipedia - he was a very interesting man :)

My screen is based on KunsthHaus Wein - the artist Hundertwasser didn't like straight lines apparently, thus resulting in my wibbly wobbly screen tops, the covering of the screens is just black and white card that I embossed with a mosaic cuttlebug folder and then I cut and joined these together to look like the tiled building. I added 2 paintings (which I copied ... I did plan on doing 4 but the less said about that the better ) so I swapped 2 paintings for 2 photos of Hundertwasser Haus. The back of the screens is an old Basic Grey paper (forget the name) and it is supposed to represent the blocks of colour in his building. I didn't use ribbon as I felt it wouldn't really 'go' so instead I made holes and used links from an old bracelet.

This is the building that the screen is based on
